But at the end of the 2010/11 season, 32-year-old midfielder was decided that it was time to continue his career at another club and refused a new contract extension offered by Milan to go to Juventus.
Pirlo insisted on retaining his decision to join Juventus from AC Milan, and insisted that his decision to leave Milan because he wanted to seek new challenges.
"My experience of 10 years which is fantastic with Milan. I won everything we could win, but after 10 years, I feel the need to seek new challenges and play for Juventus, which makes it a very interesting challenge and of course something I want to undergo well, "said Pirlo.

Pirlo also said if he would feel very happy if Juventus managed to beat Barcelona to get Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi.
